How To Reopen Safely and Successfully

While we aren’t sure when the country will reopen, we are hoping it will be soon. Be sure that your practice is ready for a safe and successful reopening with our tips! 

Give Back

Start planning on services that allow you to give proceeds to organizations in need. Consider the CDC, Meals on Wheels, and other non-profits. Once you've determined what organization to donate to, tell your audience. For example, "10% of proceeds from teeth whitening treatments will be donated to Meals on Wheels." Efforts like these promote a positive reputation in your community while helping those in need.


Notify all of your patients as soon as you have the official date. Send postcards, email marketing, and post on social media. Remember, not everyone uses the same form of communication. That’s why using as many methods is important. 


For all the appointments you missed due to COVID-19, reschedule them during the first 2 weeks of reopening. It will demonstrate great customer service and help boost your revenue quickly. Depending on the number of confirmed appointments, staff your practice as needed. 


If you haven’t already, invest in telehealth. Not all patients will feel safe leaving their homes right away. Don’t miss out on this population of new patients. Invest in a telehealth platform to book more consultations and increase your revenue. Contact us to learn about this new option.


Reassure your patients that heightened measures for safety are still in place. For example, notify your patients of your sanitation protocols. You may want to also consider the following.

Offer aggressive patient specials to attract patients! Your competitors are already planning to gain as much business as possible. Be better than them by offering specials that every patient would prefer. Consider Invisalign, dental implants, teeth whitening, and new patient specials. 


For the first month of reopening, decorate the office. Everyone has been stuck inside for months. Balloons and ribbons can make anyone smile, especially after the hardship we have all experienced. Perhaps you can display a banner that says, “Welcome Back! We’ve Missed You!” You may want to also consider handing out freebies like branded hand sanitizer bottles.
